Silk Board Metro Station Bengaluru, officially known as Central Silk Board Metro Station, is one of the most important new metro stations in the city. Located near the famous Silk Board Junction, it serves passengers travelling between South Bengaluru, Electronic City, BTM Layout, HSR Layout, Koramangala side and the Outer Ring Road corridor.

For years, Silk Board was known mainly for traffic jams. The metro has now made this junction more useful for daily commuters, especially office-goers travelling towards Electronic City and Bommasandra. The station is on Bengaluru Metro’s Yellow Line, which connects Rashtreeya Vidyalaya Road / RV Road with Delta Electronics Bommasandra. The Yellow Line station opened in August 2025, while the Blue Line station at Silk Board is still under construction.

Silk Board Metro Station Bengaluru Lines

Silk Board Metro Station is located on the Yellow Line of Namma Metro. The Yellow Line is an elevated corridor connecting RV Road with Delta Electronics Bommasandra. It passes through important areas such as Ragigudda, Jayadeva Hospital, BTM Layout, Central Silk Board, Bommanahalli, Kudlu Gate, Hosa Road, Electronic City and Bommasandra.

From Silk Board, passengers can travel towards BTM Layout, Jayadeva Hospital, Ragigudda and RV Road on one side. In the other direction, trains go towards Bommanahalli, Hongasandra, Kudlu Gate, Singasandra, Hosa Road, Electronic City, Hebbagodi and Bommasandra.

For Green Line connectivity, passengers can change at RV Road. In future, Silk Board will also become a major interchange point with the Blue Line, which is expected to improve access towards the Outer Ring Road and airport-side corridor. A travelator-linked walkway has also been planned to connect the Yellow and Blue Line stations at Silk Board Junction.

From RV Road, take the Yellow Line towards Delta Electronics Bommasandra and get down at Central Silk Board.

From Majestic, take the Green Line towards Silk Institute, change at RV Road, and then board the Yellow Line towards Bommasandra.

From Electronic City, take the Yellow Line towards RV Road and get down at Central Silk Board.

From Bommasandra, board the Yellow Line towards RV Road. Silk Board comes on the same route.

From MG Road or Indiranagar, take the Purple Line to Majestic, change to the Green Line towards Silk Institute, then change again at RV Road for the Yellow Line.

From HSR Layout or Koramangala, passengers can reach Silk Board by bus, auto or cab, and then use the Yellow Line for onward travel.
